about
This Town Will Kill You was recorded live off the floor in the studio - so pretty much as we play it live. The only addition was Adam adding a Hammond organ solo that he was playing over the track just to see what it would sound like and didn't realize he was being recorded. We hope you enjoy!
lyrics
This Town Will Kill You
a. Greyscale
b. Surviving Class
Breathe through your sleep
The structural force of your malaise
Walk on your feet
that haven't moved in 30 days
Chlorine in the water
Carbon in the sky
Cleans our lungs
We'll never die.
But you're too small
This town will kill you.
Fear makes you sweat
It shapes the man you are
Fear kicks your ass
Takes you long
Throws you far
Shatter your horizons
Catch up with the sun
Many fall where we have won.
I've seen you fall,
this town will kill you
c. Submission
d. Travelling At High Velocity Without The Benefit Of Arms Or Legs
e. Beating (ft. Some Sports Equipment)
f. Surviving Class Rises
Dreams are your crutch
That hold you back from greater things
Dreams plug your ears
and you won't hear when freedom rings.
Fluoride in the water
Chemtrails in the sky
Claim our souls
We'll never die.
Dreamer you, this town will kill you!
g. Retribution

Nebula
I want to climb aboard a starship
and sail forevermore
This superficial, self-destructive world
is getting me down
We'll ride past every star
in every system and nebula
One trajectory for light years on
and whatever happens will.

Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!

Big, clanging psych-rock from this Arizona outfit fuses monk-like vocals with slow-winding guitars for songs that feel like strange hymns. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2016
Spaced-out krautrock and dizzying drone from this Irish band that packs a punch—the sound of being caught in an asteroid belt. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 9, 2023
